Most newborns sleep a lot overall, but in short, uneven stretches around the clock. There is a wide range or normal and part of what I help you do is understand your baby's unique patterns so you feel less overwhelmed and more confident.
Yes- this is very normal in the newborn stage. Newborns have small stomachs and immature sleep cylces, so frequent waking is expected, especially in the first 12 weeks. There are still gentle ways to support more settled sleep over time
